This old hen house in Österlen was redesigned for guest accommodation. The existing thick stone walls give character to the building. The idea was to squeeze in many functions into a small area. The surrounding views were important to consider and the entrance should be at the back.
For the design, the flow of movement within and around the small house became crucial to meet all the wishes. Though every area is interconnected, there are separate needs. The goal was to provide a space that appeals to the senses and is easy to move around in. Gislöv is a picturesque village located in the southeastern part of Sweden in an area known as Österlen – one of Sweden’s most attractive tourist destinations.
