This property is located in the village of Stångby Kyrkby in southern Sweden in a national conservation area. The site had to be developed by taking the heritage of the area into special consideration. In addition, the plot of land is triangular, which presented us with additional design challenges. The solution was two wings at an angle to each other connected by a glazed entrance in between. The tall wings at an angle give an interesting perspective and an elegant dynamism to the layout of the house.

The many glazed double doors are central to the design and open up a connection with the outdoors: the patio, the garden, the church and the community. By utilizing the specific conditions of the site, a beautiful building was created in harmony with its surroundings.

The house has been recognised as a good example of developing a building in a national conservation area and has also been awarded first prize as House of the Year in the competition by the Swedish magazine Hus & Hem (House and Home).
